The Municipality of Kolonje

Kolonje

The Municipality of Kolonja is bordered in the north with the municipalities of Devoll and Korça, in west and south with the municipality of Përmet, while in the east with Greece. This municipality consists of 8 administrative units, which are: Ersekë, Ersekë Center, Leksovik, Centar Leksovik, Novoselë, Barmash, Mollas and Çlirim. The capital of the municipality is the city of Erseka. According to the Census of 2011, the new municipality has 11,070 inhabitants, and according to the Civil Registry this municipality counts a population of 19,919 inhabitants, in an area of 864.06 km2. The new municipality has under its administration two cities (Erseka and Leskovik) and 76 villages.
