Gramsh
The new Municipality of Gramsh lies in a very mountainous territory in Central Albania. With a surface of 737 km2, the municipality is located in the central part of Albania and is bordered in the north with the municipality of Elbasan, in the east of Pogradec, in the south-east with Maliq municipality, in the south with Skrapar Municipality and in the west with Berat, Kuçovë and Cërrik municipalities. The new municipality of Gramsh consists of 10 administrative units, which are: Gramsh, Pishaj, Kodovjat, Kukur, Kushovë, Lenie, Poroçan, Skënderbegas, Sult and Tunja. According to the 2011 Census, this municipality counts 24.231 inhabitants with a density of 32.78 inhabitants/km², and according to the Civil Registry it counts a population of 36,305 inhabitants and a density of 49.11 inhabitants/km². The main economic potential of Gramshi Municipality is based on three important sectors: agriculture, livestock and tourism.
