The Municipality of Pogradec

Pogradec

Pogradec isI bordered in the north by the municipality of Prrenjas, in the west with Gramsh municipality, in the south with Maliq municipality, in the southeast with Pustec municipality end in the east with the Republic of Macedonia. The centre of Pogradeci municipality is the city of Pogradec. According to the 2011 Census, the new municipality has 61,530 inhabitants, and according to the Civil Registry, this municipality counts a population of 90,976. The new municipality has an area of 548.77 km2. Pogradec Municipality consists of 8 administrative units, which are: Pogradec, Udjenisht, Buçimas, Çërrave, Dardhas, Trebinjë, Proptisht and Velçan. The new municipality has under its administration a city and 72 villages.
