Vora Municipality is located in the central part of Albania and it is bordered by Kruja Municipality to the north, Kamëz Municipality to the east, Tirana Municipality to the south, Shijak Municipality to the south-west and Durrës Municipality to the east. The new municipality of Vora is situated on the main crossroad of Albania, where Tirana and Durrës are connected, and the north with the south part of the country. This municipality consists of 3 administrative units, namely: Vora, Bërxull, Preza. The new municipality administers 21 villages. Vora Municipality is located in the central part of Albania and it is bordered by Kruja Municipality to the north, Kamëz Municipality to the east, Tirana Municipality to the south, Shijak Municipality to the south-west and Durrës Municipality to the east. The new municipality of Vora is situated on the main crossroad of Albania, where Tirana and Durrës are connected, and the north with the south part of the country. As a result, a considerable part of the light industry and construction are found within its territory, whereas agriculture focuses mostly on some high added value products, such as flowers. There are 800 large businesses registered in this municipality. Moreover, a medieval castle is located at the former commune of Preza which is a minor tourism asset of the area. Vora Municipality and its two administrative units have experienced a rapid population increase during the last 25 years, which has given rise to a considerable number of buildings not respecting the city planning and lacking in infrastructure.
